Vom 27. September – 6. Oktober findet zum sechsten Mal das My Unique Jazz Festival von EUNIC Berlin in der Kunstfabrik Schlot statt. Werden Musiker unterschiedlicher Nationalität zusammenspielen und die wundersamen Verästelungen des europäischen Jazz mit seinen verschiedenen Wurzeln, Dialekten und Impulsen zu einem europäischen Sound verschmelzen lassen.

Giulia Valle is one of the most prolific, original voices in the Barcelona’s contemporary jazz scene. With Classical and modern background eclectic, intense, evocative and seductive she has always combined her particular richness of ideas, composing her own universe of sound, uniquely diverse and distinct. Talented and creative German Saxophonist Peter Ehwald (DAAD) will join the trio and together with skilled and extremely creative, Tom Amat and Adrià Claramunt, will perform a vibrant concerts in which the common denominator is the extensive interaction between the instrumentalists and Valle’s always-captivating music.
Giulia Valle, composer, arranger, and bass player, is one of the most prolific, original, and international
voices in Barcelona’s jazz scene. She has always combined her particular richness of ideas, composing her own universe of sound, uniquely diverse and distinct, with an extraordinary ability to put “together and lead creative teams, devoted to her music, which she systematically arranges and rearranges until her tracks are pushed to the front of everything.
Giulia was born in Sanremo (Italy) and grown up in Barcelona. With Classical and modern background, Giulia Valle is nowadays considered as a very special & unique voice of contemporary Jazz scene. She has formed herself in music in Barcelona, in Paris and NYC and has worked and shared experience with musicians such as John Mc Neil, Guillermo Klein, Mayte Martín, Bill McHenry, Jason Lindner or Antonio Canales among many others. During the last 14 years, she has been performing with the Giulia Valle Group and Giulia Valle Trio visiting many international festivals and clubs, and earning both public & specialized press applauses. Giulia also teaches music at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu de Barcelona.
With Live in San Francisco, the composer’s seventh album, Giulia dives into the concept and soundscape of the trio, performing vibrant concerts in which the common denominator is the extensive interaction between the three instrumentalists and Valle’s always-captivating music. On this occasion, Giulia introduces two young musicians who are very promising as well as skilled and extremely creative, Tom Amat and Adrià Claramunt. This is a new chapter that unites a new development in Giulia’s always-intense and rich music with the discovery of young musicians worthy of the national jazz scene.
