Agnas Bros.

Kasper Agnas (g), Max Agnas (p), Mauritz Agnas (b), Konrad Agnas (dr)

Swedish jazz

The four brothers Konrad, Kasper, Mauritz and Max Agnas started the group 15 years ago in the basement of their parents home in Stockholm, Sweden.  Over the years, they have had time to develop their very own music based on an almost telepathic approach to interaction, improvisation and composition. With four albums released, the young brothers have made success at concert halls all over europe, summer festivals and smaller jazz clubs around the Swedish countryside and in collaboration with classical ensembles like „O / Modernt“ and „Stockholm Chamber Brass“ as well as artists like Nils Landgren and Pat Metheny. In 2018 Agnas Bros. released their third album ”Lycka Till Med Musiken” and played at JazzBaltica together with Nils Landgren and also at Montreux Jazz Festival. The latest album, ”FYRA” contains of, just like previous albums, music written and arranged by the brothers. In 2022 they tour in Europe and Japan and play music from the latest album which is released on the swedish label Haphazard Music.

„All appearances I have done with the brothers have been an excitement and there is no doubt that it will remain so even in the future. With courage and much humor are they creating a common goal, to find to people’s hearts“ – Nils Landgren

„It was an amazing enrichment to play with the Agnas Brothers. They have all strong, personal voices. The whole Agnas family is very special. “ – Pat Metheny

”There is much maturity present within the four of these brothers and even more surprisingly, a real sense of each of their musical identity. This is especially rare and a real joy to hear. It makes me very hopeful for the future of music!”. – Larry Grenadier
