A special tribute to the music of Pat Metheny with a very
creative and dynamic Trio composed by interesting leader guitarist
Amr Hammour from Syria, with German/American solid bassist
Mark Roman and Jazz veteran Italian/American drummer Andrea Marcelli.
The Trio will be performing some of the great tunes composed by Metheny.

A Berliner based Musician AMR HAMMOUR, a Syrian/Serbian guitarist, singer and composer. who graduated with a Diploma Degree in Guitar Performance and had the chance to participate in some great Jazz clubs and Jazz Festivals worldwide, in the middle east in particular. Hammour developed the style influenced from both PAT’s (Metheny and Martino), to create his own sound. Involving the Glissentar instrument (11 string Fretless Guitar) in the music Hammour compose, creates a new Oriental Jazz sound combined with bebop phrasing.
Hammour Performed in with a lot of jazz musicians in Germany and around the world like: Charles Davis /USA/, Siggy Davis /USA/, Reggie Moore /USA/, Frank Carlberg /Swiss/, Jan Ackermann /Holland/, Daniel Blanc /Swiss/, Zaid Naser /USA/, Chris Byars /USA/, Oli Hayhurst /UK/, Zoë Al Rahman /UK/, Ziad Rhbani Son of Firuz / Lebanon.
Drummer/composer ANDREA MARCELLI moved to the USA in 1989,
spending eight years in Los Angeles and four in New York City.
He has resided in Berlin since 2001. Two of his tunes are included in both
“The European Real Book“ and “The Digital Real Book part 2“. He is
leading an active international musical life, performing with Wayne Shorter,
Don Menza, Allan Holdsworth, Mike Stern, Bob Mintzer, Eddie Gomez,
Ralph Towner, Eberhard Weber, Markus Stockhausen, Palle Danielsson,
John Patitucci, Mike Mainieri, Hiram Bullock, Frank Gambale, Andy
Summers and others. He recorded many albums and two critical acclaimed Cds with legendary Major Label Verve/PolyGram.
